This time I am going to forgo the symbols route – for one thing, these images are so strong and powerful and connected that they really evoke strong emotional responses in any viewer. Why is it that clothing provides such a powerful, emotional stimulus? It can’t be just me reacting strongly. The images, together with the upcoming holiday season really stir up memories.
I also think that some clothing articles evoke emotions and feelings. Especially the old ones. Sometimes when I come across an old item like that dress, I start wondering who owned it before me, what happened to them. And I also wonder what I’ll live behind:)))
